Practical Tips and Advice
FOR SNOWSHOEING
Clothing
Dress for outdoor activity with warm, windproof clothing. Ensure your clothes are flexible and comfortable. In snowy conditions, it's recommended to wear ski goggles or clear sunglasses to protect your eyes.
Footwear
Choosing the right footwear is crucial for ensuring that snowshoes fit well and comfortably. Snowshoe bindings work with most shoes, but moon boots, running shoes, and ski boots are not ideal. Hiking or mountaineering boots are best suited. If you have gaiters, they are useful for keeping snow out during the hike.
Snowshoe rental
Don’t have your own snowshoes? No problem! Snowshoes can be rented at Slaatta Skisenter, Geilo Skishop in Geilo town centre, or through Geilo Aktiv, with a convenient pick-up at Vestlia Resort.
