Do you have room for more people in the car? Or do you want a ride? With the nabogo-app, it is easier for driver and passenger to find each other.
Nabogo is the first concrete result of SITE mobility - a smart, integrated and sustainable region. The app is free to use, but passengers pay a little and drivers get a little for the trip: No payment goes directly between the two, but via the app. For the passenger, the first 10 kilometers are free on each trip, after which it costs 1 NOK per kilometer. The driver gets 15 NOK for the first 10 kilometers and then 1 NOK per kilometer, says sub-project manager Marthe Dyrud in SITE Destination and emphasizes that Nabogo is not the same as a taxi.
To use the Nabogo-app, you need a Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, or Dutch phone number.
Car Rental
For the freedom to explore the Geilo region at your own pace, renting a car is an excellent choice.

Familiarize yourself with the road conditions in the area before arriving. Driving in summer is generally trouble-free, but be prepared for potentially challenging winter conditions.
Transport by Local Bus
Visit entur.no to search for and find departures. The local bus typically travels in and out of Hol Municipality multiple times a day, with stops at locations such as Kikut.
Timetables and ticket purchasing
To plan your journey and purchase tickets for the buses in Hallingdal and nearby areas, you can easily find timetables and buy tickets directly from the bus companies' websites. Visit Brakar.no and Skyss.no for detailed information on routes, departures, and ticket options. This makes it convenient for you to plan and purchase tickets online before your trip.
Local buses in Hallingdal include routes to Haugastøl (line 334), Dagali (line 333), Myrland (line 332), Gol and Nesbyen (line 330), and Kongsberg trough Numedal (line 420), operated by Brakar.
For travelers exploring further afield, the region bus service from Skyss runs to Eidfjord (line 991) over the Hardangervidda during the summer, and to Aurland and Flåm (line 850, starting from Hagafoss and Ål), also only in the summer. Note only one departure per day.
There is a daily bus service to Oslo (line VY175) year-round from Monday to Friday, operated by Vybuss. Additionally, Vybuss offers a guided bus tour to Vøringsfossen (line VY25) during the summer months
