What Bike Should You Choose?

A Wide Range of Rental Bikes at Geilo!

Not sure which bike suits you best? Here is an overview of the different bikes available for rent, with descriptions of each bike's features. This guide will help you find the perfect bike for your needs!

Mountain Bikes

Ideal for various terrains including paved roads, gravel paths, and rugged trails. These bikes feature wider tires for better comfort and grip on different surfaces. Equipped with a hardtail frame and front suspension fork, but no rear suspension. Adjustments to the seat and handlebars are made with a tightening mechanism, and you need to dismount to make these changes. Available for both youth and adults, suited for riders 155 cm tall and up.

Trail Bikes

An all-around bike that handles both trails and flow trails with ease. Lighter than a downhill bike but heavier than a standard mountain bike, making it perfect for those who want to explore beyond regular paths. Full suspension offers excellent control on challenging terrain. Available for both juniors and adults, suitable for riders from 135 cm tall and up.

Downhill Bikes

Designed specifically for downhill riding, these bikes come without gears and are heavier for added speed downhill. The extra weight makes them ideal for experienced riders seeking thrilling challenges. Perfect for those who want to take the lift up and test themselves on flow trails from the top. Available for adults, suitable for riders from 178 cm tall and up.

Kids' Bikes

We offer various mountain bikes for children, perfect for paved paths, gravel roads, or rugged terrain. These bikes have wider tires for enhanced comfort and grip on different surfaces. Equipped with a hardtail frame and front suspension fork, but no rear suspension. Seat and handlebar adjustments require dismounting.

You can choose from kids’ mountain bikes from different brands. Rossignol and Woom offer bikes with standard tires and front suspension, while Giant models have wider tires but no suspension. The wider tires provide sufficient cushioning on their own, so all brands offer similar usage. Suitable for kids between 120 cm and 145 cm tall.

Balance Bike for Kids

Fun, pedal-free bikes perfect for the littlest ones. Ideal for paved bike paths and pump tracks. Balance bikes can be booked online under "children's bikes." Available for children aged 1.5 to 4.5 years, or between 82 cm and 110 cm tall.

BMX and Jump Bikes

Great bikes for paved bike parks and pump tracks, offering fun and excitement.

Electric Bikes

Hardtail or full-suspension electric mountain bikes with excellent performance for climbing and downhill riding. Lightweight and ideal for mountain trails as well as paved and gravel roads. Available in models for youth and adults with a 500Wh battery, and for kids and teens with a 250Wh battery. Both options offer similar ranges.
