Geilo Horse Center offers horseback riding tours - a fantastic experience of Geilo.
On a half-day trip, the trip goes up the hill towards Kikut, via Leirtjønn and Bruslettstølen. You ride in varied terrain, with both forest and mountains, with a fantastic view of Geilo and Hallingskarvet along the way!
On arrival, you will be assigned the horse you will ride, and groom and saddle it. The trip will vary somewhat depending on the composition of the group and the weather, but it goes up the forest slope towards Kikut, via Bruslettstølen and Leirtjønn. The trip provides a great view of Hallingskarvet! There is a lot of varied terrain, with many meters of elevation up and down. Where possible, and if everyone masters it, you try a trot/trot and maybe a canter. Geilo Horse Center mainly has Icelandic horses, which are top mountain horses. The Icelandic horses want you to be a maximum of 90 kg.
