Art walk at Vestlia Resort

Vestlia appreciates beautiful art and has chosen to adorn the walls with masterpieces by various artists. Both guests and other visitors to Geilo are welcome to a small art experience. Please contact the reception at Vestlia Resort for more information.

Vestlia Resort houses Norway's largest collection of drinking tubs, which are located in the lobby. Many of these unique vessels can be dated back to the 1500s and constitute an important part of folk art in Norway. In the lobby you will also find paintings by Kai Fjell, Axel Ender, as well as prints by Edvard Munch.

In the Kai Fjell hall, the walls are adorned with beautiful paintings by Kai Fjell, a central figure in the romantic-expressive Norwegian painting of the 1930s, who stood in clear opposition to the dominant formalist trend. Barely 30 years old, he was proclaimed "Edvard Munch's successor", and one critic described him as "the woman's chivalrous interpreter, the poet of the growing forces and the longing, sometimes melancholic Eros".

The motifs in the Adventure Bath are inspired by Theodor Kittelsen's famous fairytale work.
